I have always been a Star Trek fan. The thoughts of traveling through the galaxy at warp speed and encountering hoards of aliens has really perked my imagination. Child birth should be like Star Trek, a voyage into the unknown, where others may have been, but you have not. An exciting journey into life, facing head-on, the future. However, this is different. Star Trek made one version called Deep Space 9. Also known to me as “Boldly We Sit.” A journey into outer space to sit in one spot and wait for things to happen. Today I am on Deep Space 9, and Boldly I Sit, waiting on a bed, waiting on a son, and waiting for the future.

The End of an Era….
September 19, 2008Tonight is the last night of “Us and Peeper.” Tomorrow beings a new chapter or a new volume of chapters in the drama that is my life. Tomorrow night at this time Samuel may be here. Tomorrow morning we go to the hospital and will not leave until we have our son. After today it becomes Travis, Steph, Sam, and Peeper.
Steph just asked, “Can we Wii?” She just came from the potty, so she should not have to Wii Wii.
I guess some things don’t change.
